You’ll need some plastic containers or Tupperware that has handles to place it in, but the final method isn’t complicated. You just need to transfer the rice to the pot on top of the lid, and you’re done. Make sure to add water until the rice is covered, then let it cook on a high heat for about 15 minutes.

Fill the Instant Pot rice cooker with water. This recipe calls for 1 cup of water, but any amount you choose should work. If you are using a glass pressure cooker, you may need to use two cups of water instead of 1. When the water reaches the “autominer” setting, select “Manual” or “Cancel” and cook for 45 minutes.

Set the timer for 25 minutes for rice to cook. When the timer goes off, stir in the rice with the black pepper. If you’d like, you can cook this a bit longer for more flavor.
